TOURNAMENTS & COMPETITIONS for
JUNIORS & MINI TENNIS PLAYERS

Get ready, get fit, get practising – for lots of competitions and fun play this Summer. Don’t just do the coaching, play the game too!  

All Mini Tennis and Junior players (with help from their parents) are encouraged to play competitions as regularly as possible - lots of play and competition is great fun; inspires players to learn more from their coaching; improves players tennis more quickly. All competitions and tournaments at the club, with the exception of the ladder, are open to members and non-members so please bring your tennis playing friends (from other clubs, or clubless) and encourage others to join in. The more the merrier.

Competitions & Fun Play on offer:

• Competition Play - Junior clubnight – lots of competition play on Junior and mini junior Friday clubnights for all who come along and want to play some friendly matches. Look forward to seeing you 6-7pm for Juniors c.11+ years; 5-6pm for Mini Juniors c.8-12 years during term-time (coach present to supervise and run).
  
• Fundays and Club Tournaments at the club (see Events 2010)
  
• Hampshire Aegon League Junior Club Teams – we have 12&Under, 14&Under, and 16&Under Junior teams representing Cheriton Tennis Club in the Hampshire leagues. If you would like to play in a team, please contact the junior team captains or Craig or Sarah or Brett.
  
• LTA Mini Tennis and Junior Open Tournaments – hosted by local tennis clubs, and part of the Hampshire LTA programme. Players must be members of British Tennis to play in these tournaments but they are open to any level of play, so if you can serve and play points, do join in. See LTA booklets in clubhouse soon for full details and entry forms. Timetable below includes nearest events, and those Cheriton players are likely to be entering.
