Players entering who are 10 & under can enter either as a Red player (8 & under, playing Mini Tennis Red tie-break to 10 pts), an Orange player (9 & under, playing Mini Tennis Orange best of 3 tie-breaks) or a Green player (10 & under, playing Mini Tennis Green 1 short set to 4 games). Juniors entering age 10-16 will all play full tennis using normal yellow ball – 1 short set to 4 games. At the end of each round there will be a prize for the leader of each Mini Tennis and Junior level, and a prize for the player who has played the most matches in the ladder (if lots of matches are played – parents, please help).
How does the ladder work? A ladder board is up in the clubhouse, and this will be re-shuffled and start afresh on 1 st April 2008, once players have entered/re-entered. Please include your parents phone number on entry form– so that this can appear on clubhouse noticeboard safely. Your email address below will only be used by Sarah to organise the ladder. From 1 st April, you can challenge any player to a match if you are SIX positions in front or behind them on the ladder board. If you are challenged, you cannot refuse to play. If you win the match against a player higher in the ladder, then you will swap places with them. You can play whenever you like – ask your parents to arrange your matches for you. There will also be chances to play your matches at junior club night, competition Saturdays, and other events. If you do not know the telephone number of a player, please look up the members' list in the clubhouse (or ask Sarah if stuck). Once you have played your match, enter your score on Ladder Scorecards in holder next to Suggestions Box, and post into Suggestions Box. Sarah will update online & in clubhouse.
To enter, complete the form in clubhouse or HERE and drop into the Suggestions Box in the clubhouse – by MARCH 28TH for Round 1 Entries. NB: You must enter the ladder again using the new form, even if your name was on the board last time.
