Join in the new round of box leagues, enjoy some fun doubles matches against different players, and perhaps meet some new locals too!

2008/9 ROUND 2: 1st November – 31st March

Club Box Leagues are a great opportunity to mix with other members in the club, to play people at your own level, and to introduce a little gentle competition into your tennis. All levels of play will be included – from beginners who can serve and score, through to advanced players. Just specify your approximate playing standard on the entry form below. In the box leagues you arrange your own games, at a time that suits you, and there is plenty of time to play your matches within the dates of each round. Enter now for Round 1, and you can then continue into Round 2 or pull out. New entries can also come forward for Round 2. You will be included in a box of approximately 4 - 6 other doubles pairs, then just play all the pairs, enter your scores on the tables in the clubhouse, and wait to see if you win the prize at the end of the round! If enough players compete, we will be introducing a trophy/shield for the doubles pair who won the most matches during the year.
Closing date for entries for Round 1: March 28th 2008
To Enter Box Leagues just email Sarah details at: slloyd@ashgatepublishing.com or post your entry form (available on Word file HERE or in clubhouse) into the Suggestions Box in clubhouse or post to club secretary Sarah Lloyd. Please specify whether you wish to enter the: Mixed Doubles / Ladies Doubles / Mens Doubles
Enter with a partner you know, or just include your name only and a partner will be found for you. Free entry. Details of players in each box in Round 1 will be posted up in the clubhouse on 1st April, so you can start playing your matches then.
Box league rules are on the clubhouse noticeboard already.
